Think big; think inclusive. Invite others into the vision to give it dimension. Starting in January 2019, I had a heavy influx of businesses wanting Team Building Training. I have several questions I ask perspective clients to help me to better understand how I can meet their needs. Whether you are revamping an existing business, part of a take over, merger, or any type of cultural change in your environment here is what I know.
“Nothing we do is more important than hiring and developing people. At the end of the day, you bet on people, not on strategies.”- Lawrence Bossidy, Former COO of General Electric
Knowing the strengths of every member of your team will save you valuable time and energy in the long run. Retention is the key and knowing and valuing your team is the answer to retention.
Clarity is one of the most important skills that can be used in developing anyone. To get the best out of new or existing staff or employees they must know, like and trust you. In the business world when hiring and developing people they must know where they are in the scheme of things. Belongingness is everything. When everyone has a sense of belonging, then you can develop as a healthy vibrant team.
Good or bad, perceived change brings with it physical and mental stressors that can cause us anxiety, chaos, frustration, and total lack of movement. In other words, it can cause debilitating fear.
When you're in the picture it is hard to see the full picture. Bring in someone who can engage your staff and bring out the best in them. Building a vibrate healthy culture where people feel they are adding value and a part of something bigger than themselves is the launch pad you need to leave a legacy you and your company can be proud of.
