Intentional Living

Intentional Living simply means to live the life that you truly want, deliberately. A life
by design of your choosing, rather than living a life that just ‘happens’ to you. It sounds
wonderful and simple in theory, but of course there are barriers that need to be overcome,
mainly our own thoughts. It is said that we can never out-perform our own beliefs and
thoughts, and its even harder to out-perform the limitations we allow others to put on us.

“Never surrender your hopes and dreams to the fateful limitations others have placed on
their own lives. The vision of your true destiny does not reside within the blinkered
outlook of the naysayers and the doom prophets. Judge not by their words, but accept
advice based on the evidence of actual results. Do not be surprised should you find a
complete absence of anything mystical or miraculous in the manifested reality of those
who are so eager to advise you. Friends and family who suffer the lack of abundance,
joy, love, fulfillment and prosperity in their own lives really have no business imposing
their self-limiting beliefs on your reality experience.” Anthon St. Maarten

What an unbelievable gift we received, when we understand that we can make the choice
to create our best self. We even have the right and the opportunity to fail, get back up, and
make a difference anywhere we go. Setting the stage for progression is possible. Start
first, with these three thoughts:

• Evaluate reality clearly. Give yourself uninterrupted private time
to analyze what is going on outside of your thoughts, your social circle, your business,
career and anything else that affects your life. Explore your internal environment. What
are your patterns of feeling, thinking and behaving? Charting and being aware of these
patterns allow us to keep what is working and to develop healthy new habits for what is
not working.

• Make effective decisions to reach your goals. Look at your options based on what you
learned about your outer environment. You can change your thoughts, feelings and
behaviors to help you design the kind of life you want. Know, you have options. Look at
the pathways and choose the one that will make it possible to attain those goals.

• Achieve short and long-term goals. Understand that as you travel, it is beneficial to
make changes along the way. Make yourself open to new information and situations. This
is called growth. Stay committed to reaching and growing your goals. Build your circle of
influence and redefine it. As you travel on your journey, it will enable you to live
intentionally.
